Don Gnecco is an award-winning songwriter whose inspirational and upbeat compositions have been performed at weddings, graduations, and in schools and churches. Over the years, Don has worked with vocalist Sherry Allen, who has performed many of the Don Gnecco songs. She is the solo artist on three albums: "Castles" (1995), "Sending Love at Christmas Time" (2003), and "Touch the World" (2005).
In May of 2002, Don and Sherry traveled to Ireland where Sherry performed "Touch the World," one of the finalist songs in the Tipperary International Song of Peace Contest. In April 2006, they returned to Ireland again for the performance of "One Light," which was also a finalst song in the International Song of Peace Contest.
More recently, Lydie Koffi Omesiete has been the primary vocalist for the Don Gnecco songs. An album entitled, "What Next?" featuring some of Don's most recent inspirational songs, was released in September 2016 in a reception at the Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art at Piedmont College. In October 2018, Lydie and Don traveled to Ireland, where Lydie performed "Love Lifts Me Up High," a finalist song in the Tipperary International Song of Peace Contest. Read more about Don Gnecco
