Sherry Allen

Sherry Allen, of Kennebunk, Maine became musically involved at an early age. She frequently solos at weddings and performs regularly in the southern Maine-New Hampshire area. Previously, Sherry toured extensively with Continental Ministries and was also a member of the New Horizons Quartet. She is the solo artist on "Castles," "Sending Love at Christmas Time," and "Touch the World," all of which feature songs by Don Gnecco.
In her own words: "As a resident of Kennebunk, Maine (I am a true native!), I am fortunate to be able to enjoy the beauty of God's creation through the scenic views of the countryside as well as the majesty of the rocky coastline. There is a beauty found in the waves as they crash upon the rocks during a walk on the beach. The open fields across the plains turn a lush green and yield a summer harvest of blueberries, followed by an explosion of color as the Northern Blazing Star blooms a beautiful magenta. This is topped only by the magnificent colors of the sunset as it fades behind Mount Hope in the distance. This is my drive home at the end of the day. God's creation is my inspiration and a gift that I hope reflects in my music. It was my pleasure to be able to be the first one to interpret Don's music in the recording studio. I also enjoy quiet time playing the piano and spending time with my cousin Ryan who sustained a traumatic brain injury in a motor vehicle accident several years ago. He is the sunshine in my life. I enjoy the time I spend singing with the Praise Team at my church, sketching, spending time with family and friends and enjoying the great outdoors. My "day job" is that of an administrative assistant for the Kennebunk-Kennebunkport-Arundel schools. I have been employed in the office of the Superintendent of Schools for more than twenthy-five years.
